It might even force a bunch of red states to launch their own exchanges to keep the subsidies so many of their citizens will have come to depend on.

HA! Sure it will.

No, the red states will tell the newly uninsured to turn to God to cure them, or just suffer and die.

It’s not as though this ruling will affect the Important People in these states, after all.

No they will say we need a “Market based” solution:

Republicans: “We need a “Market based solution”
Dems: “The ACA IS a market based solution”.
Repubs: “Oh, ummm…… Benghazi!!!!!!!

We had a Market Based solution: insurance companies would only insure you if their underwriting department says you won’t use your benefits. If not, no insurance for you.

These short-sighted extremists don’t seem to realize that killing the ACA will only make it easier to push for a single-payer system. The ACA was intended by republicans (before they were against it) to be the middle-road between “free” markets (since a market you enter against your will can never be free, even in theory) and single-payer “socialism.” (yes, the scare-quotes are intended to be ironic) Killing this middle-ground will force the public to choose between two extremes. And anyone who thinks most folks prefer a price-gouging system, one so ruthless that no oil company can (currently) get away with emulating it, is in for a rude awaken…

Oh, wait! I forgot the electoral system is gerrymandered. Nevermind. We’re boned.
